Beautiful William Morris Fabric From Closs & Hamblin. Part of the Archive IV collection, Bullerswood fabric is inspired by a carpet hand-woven at Merton Abbey and exhibited by Morris & Co. at the 1893 Arts and Crafts Society exhibition. This original design probably came from the enormous Persian original hung by Morris in his dining room at Kelmscott House and is likened to a traditional Persian vase carpet. Please note this fabric is 139cm wide with the border (as shown in the image) and 103cm wide without the border. Please note shade variation may occur due to differences in screen resolution and manufacturer dye lots.

As a political theorist, publisher, environmental campaigner, poet, as well as an outstanding designer, William Morris (1834–1896) was one of the single most influential figures of the nineteenth century. Under his direction, Morris & Co. grew to the status of Arts & Crafts icon that it remains to this day.
Drawing inspiration from original 19th-century logbooks and William Morris designs in their archive, this authentic Morris & Co. collection is tailor-made for every budding craftsperson.
Sharing the unequivocal joy of familiarity, this collection is an interpretation of memories. Of sights, sounds, patterns and places. Of experiences and being together. The awakening of a budding landscape, sprinkled with bright greens, copper-tipped reds, summer yellows and framed by a sparkling blue sea. Warmth, growth and a renewing of life.
