Beautiful William Morris Fabric From Closs & Hamblin. One of many designs named after the tributaries connected to the River Thames so important throughout Morris life Kennet was originally produced at Merton Abbey using the indigo discharge method. This technique involved printing onto a dyed indigo cloth using a bleaching agent which removed the ground colour and at the same time printed reds greens and yellows in its place.
