Beautiful William Morris Fabric From Closs & Hamblin. The distinctive owl in this cheerful print of scrolling leaves and berries was inspired by an embroidered bedcover stitched by Mary Newill an associate of May Morris at the Birmingham School of Art. Printed with a slight textural feel reminiscent of a worn block print Newill brings an Englishness to country homes. Available in four colourways: Lemon Teal Chintz and Grey/Blue. Please note shade variation may occur due to differences in screen resolution and manufacturer dye lots.

As a political theorist, publisher, environmental campaigner, poet, as well as an outstanding designer, William Morris (1834–1896) was one of the single most influential figures of the nineteenth century. Under his direction, Morris & Co. grew to the status of Arts & Crafts icon that it remains to this day.
Drawing inspiration from original 19th-century logbooks and William Morris designs in their archive, this authentic Morris & Co. collection is tailor-made for every budding craftsperson.
Sharing the unequivocal joy of familiarity, this collection is an interpretation of memories. Of sights, sounds, patterns and places. Of experiences and being together. The awakening of a budding landscape, sprinkled with bright greens, copper-tipped reds, summer yellows and framed by a sparkling blue sea. Warmth, growth and a renewing of life.
