Morris wallpaper from Closs & Hamblin. Daisy’ was the first wallpaper to be printed by Morris & Co. in 1864 and displays an unusually flat arrangement of naively drawn wild daisies on tufts of grass. Morris had previously used the daisy motif when embroidering wallhangings for his home Red House and for decorating hand-painted ceramic tiles an early enterprise of Morris Marshall Faulkner & Co. This charming wallpaper has been faithfully reproduced from original wallpapers in the Morris & Co. Archive. Recommended Paste Elite Ready Mixed Tub Paste.

As a political theorist, publisher, environmental campaigner, poet, as well as an outstanding designer, William Morris (1834–1896) was one of the single most influential figures of the nineteenth century. Under his direction, Morris & Co. grew to the status of Arts & Crafts icon that it remains to this day.
Drawing inspiration from original 19th-century logbooks and William Morris designs in their archive, this authentic Morris & Co. collection is tailor-made for every budding craftsperson.
Sharing the unequivocal joy of familiarity, this collection is an interpretation of memories. Of sights, sounds, patterns and places. Of experiences and being together. The awakening of a budding landscape, sprinkled with bright greens, copper-tipped reds, summer yellows and framed by a sparkling blue sea. Warmth, growth and a renewing of life.
